Ang Karma Sherpa, 47, Managing Director: studied law at Kathmandu's Tribhuwan University and later studied journalism at the Stephen Gheorghe Acacemy in Bucharest, Romania. He has climbed extensively in Nepal and overseas and was the first Sherpa to summit of Mt. Everest from the Tibet side in 1985. He is the life member of Sherpa Community Centre, Kathmandu and has served as the General Secretary of both the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and Nepal Mountaineering Federation. (NMF).
Gelbu Lama Sherpa, 55, Field Director: comes from the Phungmuche, Solukhumbu. He worked as trekking guides for many before joining Windhorse Trekking in 1994. Gelbu Lama leads most of our North American trekking trips. He spends most of his free monsoon time in America, hiking with his American friends. He is an active member of the Mountain Guide Association Nepal and founder member of the Himalayan Sherpa School in Phungmuche.
Kunga Doma Sherpa. Equipment Director, 38, oversees the Windhorse Trekking's equipment department. She has climbed Lobuche Peak with Nepal Police in 1984 and helped her parents run the Above the Cloud Lodge in Lobuche for many years. She is board member of the Sherpa Education Development Society (SEDEC) an all Sherpa-women-run NGO working in the education and health sector of rural Nepali people and Sherpa children.
Tanka Baniya, 32, Manager: joined Windhorse Trekking in 1994. He has a bachelor's degree in Nepali literature and comes from the low lands of Okhaldunga district. Tanka oversees the day to day running of the Windhorse office including finance the finance department. He is member of the Baniya Society, Kathmandu. He is well liked by the Windhorse staff for his mild manner.
Dachhiri Sherpa, 37, Manager Operations: has trekked extensively throughout Nepal. He has climbed many trekking peaks and worked as a climbing Sherpa in several expedition. He hails from Chimbuk, Bhakanje. He oversees the field operations of Windhorse Trekking. He is serves as the Community Trekking Co-coordinator for the Himalayan Community Development Organization - an NGO working for the Himalayan Community.
Pasang Sherpa, 40, Senior Chef cum guide, comes from Takshindu Solukhumbu. Pasang worked together with Ang karma on many treks and expeditions before Windhorse Trekking was set up in spring 1994. A Chef with more than 25 years experience, Pasang both guides and cooks for Windhorse trekking and climbing trips.
Nima Sherpa, 35, joined Windhorse Trekking in 1999. He comes from the Sherpa village of Tolakha and married to daughter of the reincarnated lama from the Tolakha monastery. He is an experienced cook, trekking guide and climbing Sherpa on Windhorse'trekking peak' climbs. Nima is member of Nepal Trekking Guide Association and Nepal Mountain Guide Associaiton.
Kill Thapa, 28, Store In-Charge: comes from Sallery Solukhumbu and joined Windhorse Trekking in 1994. Besides working as a trekking guide during his break from the Windhorse gear store, he has also experienced of working as heavy vehicle driver in Saudi Arabia for 2 years before recently returning to Windhorse.
Passang Namgyal Sherpa, 33, Sirdar, comes from the Khumjung Village of Mt. Everest region. He has worked as Sirdar to various 8000m peaks. He has reached the summit of Mt. Evererst and Yalungkhang 8505m. Biodata.
Rudra Thapa, 30, comes from Sallery Solukhumbu. He has received trekking guide and mountaineering training. Rudra assists Dawa at at the Windhorse office while not leading a trek or working for an expedition.
Nima Nuru Sherpa,31, Sirdar, comes from the Khumjung Village of Mt. Everest area. He has has summitted Mt. Everest (4 times) and several other 8000m peaks. Biodata
Pemba Nurbu Sherpa,28, Sirdar, also comes from Khumjung Village of Mt. Everest region. He has climbed Mt. Everest (4times), Cho-Oyu and several Himalayan peaks. Biodata
Pasang Phutar Sherpa, 46, Senior Climbing Sherpa, comes from Sonada Darjeeling. He has been on several expeditions to Mt. Everest, climbed Cho-Oyu and many peaks in the Garwal Himalaya. Biodata
Pemba Choti Sherpa, 32, Sirdar, also comes from Sonada Darjeeling with his brother Pasang. Pemba has summitted Mt. Everest (3times), Cho-Oyu and many peaks in the Garwal Himalaya. Biodata
Pasang Kazi Sherpa, 32, Climbing Instructor: comes from Toktok Village near Lukla airstrip. Kazi is a trained climbing instructor and has summit Pumori 7167m and many trekking peaks. Biodata
Jumik Bhote,28, Climbing Sherpa, comes from the Haitya village of Sankhuwasabha district at the foothills of Makalu. He has summitted Mt. Everest and Pumori 7167m.Biodata
Purchanga Bhote, 26, Climbing Sherpa: comes from Chapuwa village of Sankhuwasabha area. He has worked as a climbing sherpa on Mt. Everest and has summitted Pumori 7167m. Biodata
Dawa Jangbu Sherpa, 20, Climbing Sherpa: comes from the Khumjung village of Mt. Everest area. Despite his young age, he has been on several expeditions to Mt. Everest (has reached 8350m) and summitted few trekking peaks. Biodata
Thapchen Bhote,34, Climbing Sherpa, comes from Hatiya village of Sankhuwasabha district. He has summitted Cho-Oyu 8201m 2 times and been on several other 8000 meter expeditions.
Mindu Chiri Sherpa,33, Climbing Sherpa Sherpa: comes from Kurima village of Okhaldunga area. He hassummit Mt. Everest and has worked as a climbing Sherpa in more than 15 major expeditions.
Nawang Demba ,37, Senior Chef: comes from Haitya village of Sankhuwasabha area. He mostly works as a cook for mountaineering expeditions. He also familiar with Korean cuisine and speaks Korean.
Lhkapa Geljen Sherpa, 45, Senior Chef, comes from Phapre village of Okhaldunga area. He has worked as a cook for many expeditions. His expertise is in Korean cuisine and speak Korean.
Lhkapa Chhiri Sherpa, 32, Chef, comes from Chimbuk village of Solukhumbu area. He is a yak herder while not cooking for Windhorse trekking and climbing trips.
Narayan G.C.,--, Chef: comes from Jagat village of Dolakha area. He has worked as a chef for both trekking and mountaineering groups.
