the adventure of running Nepal's rivers
started only around the early seventies.
A fact that it almost took twenty years
to find the potentiality of the snow
fed rivers of Nepal for while water
adventure after Nepal welcomed foreigners
for the purpose of tourism.
As the Himalaya are situated in the
high country of North, Nepal major
rivers run from South to North. Trisuli
for its proximity to Kathmandu and
flowing through the Chitwan National
Park area is the most popular of river
for white water adventure in Nepal.
Other river which are more exciting
to raft or kayak down include: Sunkoshi,
Seti, Bheri, Karnali, Bhotekoshi,
Kaligandaki and Marsyandi.
1. Trisuli (1 day to 4 day)
Accessible from Kathmandu and Pokhara
