Overview
Manaslu Base Camp lies at an altitude of 4750 m. From this camp, you start Manaslu Expedition.This expedition first takes you to Manaslu Glacier. This glacier, which is a part of the climbing route, has to be crossed carefully. This glacier has bamboo wands, and you follow them. Onward, there are crevasses; you have to use the climbing equipment accordingly. Camp 1 is set up at an altitude of 5700 m. And Camp 2 is set up at an altitude of 6400 m.Camp 3 is set up at an altitude of 6800 m. The distance between Camp 2 and Camp 3 is short.Camp 3 is set up in such a close distance, so that you can avoid a strong wind. From Camp 3 to Camp 4, the route is steep.Camp 4, which is set up at an altitude of 7400 meter, is the last camp of Manaslu expedition. Although this is the last camp, yet you need 6-8 hours to reach the summit of Manaslu.
