Ang Karma Sherpa, Founder Chairman: studied law at Kathmandu’s Tribhuwan University and later studied journalism at the Stephen Gheorghe Academy in Bucharest, Romania. He has climbed extensively in Nepal and overseas and was the first Sherpa to summit of Mt. Everest from the Tibet side in 1985. He is the life member of Sherpa Community Center, Kathmandu and has served as the General Secretary of both the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and Nepal Mountaineering Federation. (NMF). Currently residing in United States at Portland with his family and handling trekking business from there.
Samden Sherpa ( SAM), Executive Director : comes from the Kathmandu, Studied Master in Management He worked as trekking guides for many before joining Wind Horse Trekking in 1994 and leads most of Canadian and American trekking team. After finishing his college he been Japan for 4 years. After he got back from Japan he joined trekking field with devote and working as executive director.
Kunga Doma . Equipment Director oversees the Windhorse Trekking’s equipment department. She has climbed Lobuche Peak with Nepal Police in 1984. She is board member of the Sherpa Education Development Society (SEDEC) an all Sherpa-women-run NGO working in the education and health sector of rural Nepali people and Sherpa children.
Dachhiri Sherpa, (Dawa), Manager Operations: has trekked extensively throughout Nepal. He has climbed many trekking peaks and worked as a climbing Sherpa in several expedition. He hails from Chimbuk, Bhakanje. He oversees the field operations of Windhorse Trekking. He is serves as the Community Trekking Co-coordinator for the Himalayan Community Development Organization – an NGO working for the Himalayan Community.
Gun Bhadur Magar, Trekking guide, is from Mate 08,Kerung village of Solukhumbu district. He is one of our well trained trek guides. Having traveled extensively to the well known trek zones of Nepal, he has sufficient knowledge about the region, culture and the local habits and behavior. This helps him in running the trips for his guest trouble free and he makes sure that his guests have a good time on their trek and has good knowledge of English, Nepali and Japanese well
Pasang Sherpa, Senior Chef cum guide, comes from Takshindu Solukhumbu. Pasang worked together with Wind horse trek on many treks and expeditions before Windhorse Trekking was set up in spring 1994. A Chef with more than 25 years experience, Pasang both guides and cooks for Windhorse trekking and climbing trips.
Pasang Namgyal Sherpa, A Climbing guide, comes from the Khumjung Village of Mt. Everest region. He has worked as Sirdar to various 8000m peaks. He has reached the summit of Mt. Evererst and Yalungkhang 8505m. He climbed most most of the 8000 mt. peaks.
Da Jangbu Sherpa, Climbing Sherpa: comes from the Khumjung village of Mt. Everest area. Despite his young age, he has been on several expeditions to Mt. Everest (has reached 8350m) and summitted few trekking peaks.
Dev Kumar, Assistant Chef, comes from Chyangma, Bamti of Ramechap area. He is also a spiritual healer Dhami. His specialty is Nepali cooking.
Nawang Demba Senior Chef: comes from Hatiya village of Sankhuwa Sabha area. He mostly works as a cook for mountaineering expeditions. He mainly familiar with Korean cuisine and speaks Korean.
Lhkapa Geljen Sherpa, Senior Chef, comes from Phapre village of Okhaldunga area. He has worked as a cook for many expeditions. His expertise is in Korean cuisine and speak Korean.
