Annapurna Base Camp Trek BooK Now Print
Overview
Annapurna Base Camp Trek, which is the second best trek of Nepal after Everest Base Camp Trek, creates you an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Annapurna Ranges, which have so many attractions that words cannot describe itexactly, perfectly, and correctly.Flowing glacier is one of them, and the view of the sunrise and sunset on these ranges, which amplifies the natural beauty of the Annapurna Ranges is another.
To trek to Annapurna Base Camp means to be near the world’s tenth highest mountain, and from this perspective, this is a kind of an achievement to a trekker like you. There are also other mountains, such as Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Tent Peak, Roxy Peak, Lamjung Himal, Fang, Annapurna I, II, III, Annapurna South, and Gangapurna, including others, which look at you or you look at them when you tread along the trekking trail in the sanctuary or when you stand in front of the base camp. The official name of this sanctuary is Annapurna Sanctuary, and it consists of non-mountainous breath-taking landscapes, such as terraced field of mustard, glaciated rivers, and alpine vegetation. To begin Annapurna Base camp trek, we drive for about 6 hours from Kathmandu to Pokhara or you can take a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, an about 35 minutes duration of flight. and next day drive Pokhara to Phedi and from Phedi, it is pleasant short climb to the picturesque Magar village of Dhampus which sits on a ridge top over looking the Pokhara Valley. This sanctuary is also dotted with small villages and acquaints you with the cultures of the Gurung and Magar people, especially their lifestyles, traditions, and religions. Just like the Annapurna Ranges, Poon Hill is another highlight, which offers you a panoramic view of mountains; there, early in the morning, at the first dawn, you see the sunrise on these mountains, as well as you see how they change their colors from white snow-covered to rich golden as the sun ascends from a low horizon to a high altitude, making the view incredible.
